North Safety Products launched a new gas mask designed for the first responder community. The new North 54401 Series Gas Mask and 4ON-BC have been designed to protect first responders from non-IDLH atmospheres containing chemical agents, biological agents and radioactive dust.
Intended end users include Fire Fighters and Police Officers, Emergency Medical Service Personnel, Hazmat and other Emergency Response Teams.
The North 54401 Gas Mask has a 40 mm threaded connector that accepts USA / Military, EN and NATO type canisters, such as the new North 4ONBC Filter. The facepiece seal has been tested for permeation of Sarin and Sulfur Mustard and meets the requirements for US Military masks. A belt mounted carry bag is included to keep the mask within easy reach for donning and storage, and the mask is available in two overlapping sizes, to comfortably fit most adults. The NBC Filter has met the performance requirements of NATO and US Military specification as a Chemical, Biological Filter (US Army C2A1).
